About Me
My name is Grayson Hull and I'm looking to turn my passion for technology into a software engineering position.
I am a Computer Science major expecting to graduate in May 2024. I have a deep-seated passion for technology, with a particular interest in the intricate world of computer hardware and the exciting realm of Artificial Intelligence. My fascination with these fields has fueled me to go to college and pursue a software engineering position.
In my academic journey, I have undertaken several projects, including the development of various data structures in C++, and working collaboratively to build a multiplayer blackjack game using a multithreaded server. These experiences have honed my practical skills and deepened my understanding of key concepts.
Beyond the classroom, I am a Technical Support Agent at an alarm company, where I troubleshoot OS problems, build servers, and develop programs for task automation. This hands-on experience has bolstered my problem-solving skills and provided a solid foundation in system set-up, functionality testing, and real-world applications of programming.
I am adept at creating functional programs from technical documentation like UML diagrams or requirements documentation. I am relentlessly resourceful, always ready to leverage available tools to find solutions.
My dream is to create life-like language models that can interact meaningfully with people and making software more efficient to promote hardware longevity.
Away from technology, I am passionate about mechanics and building things from the ground up. This passion is evidenced in my automotive pursuits, having built four cars since I was 16. Just as I enjoy constructing and deconstructing physical entities to learn their workings, I bring the same enthusiasm to building software and understanding its underlying mechanisms. This blend of curiosity and hands-on approach shapes my unique perspective in the tech field.
